Junior Software Developer, based here in Pōneke
I like to build software outside of my day job, usually to further develop my skills or to provide help to an organisation I'm apart of. My current projects so far include the likes of a production level website for my fencing club, a mobile application for coffee, and a variety of smaller Java projects to pass the time.
Each project below has a writeup covering what I built, the decisions I made and why, the problems I had to diagnose and what I would change. The source code is linked from each page to their respective Github repository.

About Me
I'm currently a Life and Identity Services Officer working in Births, Deaths, and Marriages at Te Tauri Taiwhenua, the Department of Internal Affairs. My current role involves contact centre work and registration processing, which has given me a practical understanding of how the Department's services are used by the public, the staff who deliver them, and the various pain points between.
I came to programming starting with Visual Basic back in 2015, and have since worked on developing my understanding of C, Java, Elixir and Dart. I'm currently studying towards a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the Victoria University of Wellington.
